Hotel Imperium is a four-star hotel built at the southern entrance to Suceava, about 3 km from the city centre and from the Princely Fortress. The spot on the boulevard suits anyone arriving by car: private parking is free and needs no reservation, and a shopping centre stands less than a kilometre away.
The three room types — double or twin, triple and one-bedroom suite — all come with a balcony, air conditioning, a minibar and a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a DVD player. The double and triple rooms have solid wood furniture, and each private bathroom has a hydromassage shower or a bathtub; the triple room and the suite add a spa tub on top of that.
The hotel restaurant cooks regional dishes à la carte, and a bar and a coffee house also operate on the property. The front desk is open around the clock, wireless internet is free throughout the building, and there is a lift, room service and a selling exhibition of handmade pieces in natural stone and wood.

The restaurant is the heart of the hotel: regional cooking à la carte, backed up by a bar and a coffee house on the property. Breakfast comes as a packed breakfast at extra cost and can be taken in the room, and room service is there for anyone who would rather eat without going downstairs.

Ștefan cel Mare airport at Salcea lies east of the city, roughly 16 km from the hotel, around 25 minutes by road; from there a taxi or a bus takes you into town. Wizz Air flies to Suceava from several European cities, among them Rome, Milan, Bologna, London and Dortmund; TAROM and Animawings connect it with Bucharest. By train, direct services from Bucharest's Gara de Nord take six to seven hours; Suceava Vest station is a few minutes by car from the hotel. Drivers arrive on the E85 and DN2: Iași is about 147 km away, roughly two and a half hours. Around town, TPL Suceava runs buses and minibuses on eleven lines, with tickets sold on board by the conductor.
The Princely Fortress, restored between 2011 and 2015, is the main draw: the permanent exhibition gathers medieval weapons, the coats of arms of the Moldavian rulers and the treasury, and it closes on Mondays. Next to it spreads the Bucovina Village Museum, with traditional homesteads moved there piece by piece. In the centre, the UNESCO-listed Church of Saint George at the Monastery of Saint John the New, finished in 1552, the 17th-century Princely Inn and the Simion Florea Marian Memorial House are worth the walk. Closer to the hotel, less than a kilometre away, stands the Armenian church of Hagigadar, built in 1512-1513 and known as the church of wishes. Suceava is an easy base for the painted monasteries: Voroneț about 32 km away, Humor 40, Sucevița 50 and Moldovița 72; cover shoulders and knees inside. September brings mild days, and in mid-August the fortress hosts the Ștefan cel Mare medieval art festival.
